ONE BILLION RISING International dance routine

Dates: 11 Feb 2024 - 11 Feb 2024

Location: Bamber Bridge Catholic Club in Preston PR5 6TA from 7:00 PM. Dance routine starts at 7:30 PM.

We are back dancing again in solidarity to raise awareness of violence against women.

And this year it's the UCLan CCGUK 10th anniversary of bringing this international dance event to Preston Lancashire in partnership with international Salsa champion Phil Kaila and Salsa Northwest.

As in previous years, the One Billion Rising dance event will be supported by the CCGUK staff, students and honorary fellows from the University of Central Lancashire.

We are holding the event in the community on Sunday the 11th of February at the Bamber Bridge Catholic Club in Preston PR5 6TA from 7:00 PM.  Dance routine starts at 7:30 PM.

No need to book, just turn up on the day and you'll be more than welcome.

This peaceful protest is part of a global movement, which takes place each February, where people are encouraged to gather in places of safety, to stand in solidarity against the alarming statistic that one in three women will be beaten or raped in their lifetime.

The One Billion Rising international dance event is the biggest mass action in human history to raise awareness of violence against women.
