Stewart Lee

Dates: 06 Feb 2024 - 07 Feb 2024

Location: Liverpool Philharmonic Hall - Hope Street

Stewart Lee started out in comedy in 1989 with Richard Herring. They went on to write material for fellow comic Steve Coogan until creating their own work in the 1990’s.

Lee had a break from stand-up comedy from 2000-2001 an area in which he garnered a popular fan-base for his unique delivery of repetition, internal reference and deadpan humour.

Throughout the last 20 years he has returned to the comedy stage and doing various performance things such as –

  • Jerry Springer – The Opera – 2005 – 2008
  • Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle – 2009-2010
  • The Alternative Comedy Experience – 2011 – 2019

Last year Lee took part in "A Show for Gareth Richards" at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2023, which was staged by fellow comedians Mark Simmons and Danny Ward to honour Richards’ life after he died in a car-crash in April 2023. The show won the first Victoria Wood award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards 2023 and raised almost £20,000 for Gareth's family. Demonstrating there is much more to his comedic persona.

Next week – (February 6th & 7th 2024) he’ll be performing his new material at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall – Hope Street from 8pm. Tickets are available to book from the following website link –

He’s had some positive write ups about his shows and these gigs reveal he is in an absolute class of his own.
