The Forensics & Special Guests

This October marks the 20th anniversary of the death of the much loved and missed English radio presenter and journalist John Peel.

John started his presenting in 1967 right up till his untimely death. He was responsible for championing many established indie bands today and could recognise true potential in a group from their early inception.

If he was still alive today he would definitely promote upcoming Lancashire based indie rock band The Forensics who were formed a couple or so years ago and create catchy anthems for a new generation.

They’re coming to The Continental pub – South Meadow Lane – Preston on Saturday 17th February 2024 with doors opening from 7pm.

In the wake of the late DJ’s death the new bands tent at Glastonbury was affectionally renamed the John Peel stage to introduce new acts on the cusp of breaking through into the music industry. He was a pivotal part of bringing new music to the mainstream especially those with an underground element and an indie/rock genre.
