Location: The Continental Pub - South Meadow Lane - Preston

If you’re a performing poet you will for a certainty fine tune your grafted poems. You may edit in places and practice reading out loud to a small selected audience, perhaps close family and friends.

However, try interpreting your work into a more open environment where the audience is slightly doubled and there are fellow poets vying for the performance platform. It can be quite an intimidating place to be, but with confidence in your work and the ability to connect with the audience you can overcome those nerves and feel the joy in performing once again.

‘Damson Poets’ is back with a bang Wednesday 31st January 2024 from 7.30pm – 9.30pm at The  Boatyard space of The Continental pub – South Meadow Street – Preston.

Organisers are happy to welcome Martin Domleo who will be promoting his latest book in part one. Part two will consist of the open mic opportunity to share your practised work. Names will be asked from 7.15pm – each slot has a 5 minute performance space. Entrance is free to attend.
