Lindisfarne

Lindisfarne

Dates: 12 Apr 2024 - 12 Apr 2024

Location: The Grand Venue - Clitheroe

For bands to stay together they must endure some level of heartache which creates unity with the remaining members and a stronger motivation to continue.

Newcastle based band Lindisfarne was formed in 1968 and had  a series of hit singles and albums throughout the 70’s and 80’s. Their unique sound was comprised of a folk rock genre that connected with fans immediately.

Original member Alan Hull helped to cement their future giving the name Lindisfarne after the small island off the coast of Northumberland. The band received a shock when Alan died on 17th November 1995. A memorial concert followed in 2005 when celebrated friends from the world of music came to show their support.

It was during this time that the band parted ways. However, by 2015 Lindisfarne was showing signs of recreating the same magic as in their 70’s heyday.

In the words of one of their hit singles, ‘Miracles’ it is clear that this line of thought has kept the band alive all these years. Take a look at the song here -

Now they are back performing as a five piece on Saturday 13th April 2024 at  The Grand venue – Clitheroe from 7pm. Tickets are available to boo from the following website link - https://www.thegrandvenue.co.uk/events/lindisfarne/

Over 50 years in the music business and sharing their back catalogue with all their fans.
