The Liverpool Rock Choir

For the past 17 years a pioneering leader in the music field has been inspiring a nation with his television programmes that reach the heart of those who are inclined to sing.

Gareth Malone started his television appearances in 2007 with his reality television series The Choir, broadcast on BBC 2.Subsequent programmes continued the theme by taking choral music to challenging situations.

Ten years after his screen debut came ‘Pitch Battle’ on BBC 1 – a new Saturday teatime singing contest and during the pandemic in 2020 he setup a home choir for those stuck at home throughout that difficult time.

His most recent foray was in 2023 for the BBC programme ‘Sing for the King – The Search for the Coronation Choir’. Malone has never been afraid to try something new or to step out of his choir comfort zone. He continues to encourage everyone to have a go at singing.

 Now it’s your turn! The Liverpool Rock Choir located at Liverpool College, Queens Drive is looking for more members and you could be just the person they’re looking for.

If you want to be with a team of people who lift your every week for 90 minutes within limited experience, come along and enjoy yourself. You’ll come away feeling so much better and begin to form strong connections with fellow members.
