Pink Floydian

Pink Floydian

Dates: 17 Feb 2024 - 17 Feb 2024

Location: Darwen Library Theatre

Epic, credible tracks that pay homage to the artistry of each talented member of the band.  In their heyday Pink Floyd garnered an audience that could transcend to the climactic height of their infinite success.

The 1975 album ‘Wish You Were Here’ is an example of their appreciation of each other, especially with single release ‘Shine on You Crazy Diamond’ which was written and composed in honour of their estranged and in recent year’s late bandmate Syd Barrett.

In April 2022 the remaining members of the band reunited for a protest single in response to the war in Ukraine. ‘Hey Hey Rise Up’ – divided fans and music critics but it was an ideal opportunity for the band to speak up and unite to create something original which had deeply affected them.

On 17th February 2024 it will be reaching the two year mark since the war in Ukraine. The Darwen Library Theatre will not be a temporary hiding shelter, instead it will stage what has been described as one of the most finest and authentic tribute acts in the UK.

Pink Floydian will be performing the band’s biggest hits from 7.30pm. They will be mostly covering the Barrett, Gilmour and Waters eras.

Almost 50 years after their seminal album ‘Wish You Were Here’ that band continue to be as relevant as they were some five decades ago. This tribute act will remind fans of the Floyd’s unique impact on the music world and why people are still talking about them after so long.
