When you think of the phrase ‘A damson in distress’ you may imagine someone in a difficult situation with potentially no way out.

However, in a forthcoming event, these ‘damsons’ are far from distress. As experienced readers of their work they can face an audience and deliver their material.

This forthcoming Wednesday 27th September sees the monthly return of ‘Damson Poets’ in the Boatyard area of The Continental pub – South Meadow Lane- Preston.

An open mic evening is scheduled so prolific writers can provide their names from 7.15pm. The start time is 7.30pm with each performer given a maximum of 5 minutes per reading.
