When you think of a ‘Bollywood’ film you may imagine a series of scantily clad women dressed up in Indian clothes singing upbeat songs.

However, in an enlightening new festival you can experience Indian cinema in a whole new light away from the stereotypical Bollywood blockbuster.

‘Not Just Bollywood 2023- Reviving the Rural’ – will showcase the very best alternative Indian cinema contemporary film.

The festival began on Thursday 21st September and conclude on Sunday 1st October. Taking place at HOME – arts centre – Manchester.
