Shalamar Friends 40th Anniversary Tour plus guests

Time. It is the concept that ages all of us whether we like it or not. A youthful musician has the world at their fingertips with the latest fashion trends and catchy songs that grasp at a moment in music none of us can forget.

On January 29th 1982 American R&B group Shalamar released their seminal sixth album ‘Friends’. It featured a series of hit singles and went on to become a platinum selling album.

One of the  singles on the album was the upbeat number ‘I Can Make You Feel Good’. It reached number 7 in the UK and became their first top ten hit.

They performed the song on Top of the Pops which captured the spirit of 80’s fashion nostalgia. Let’s remind ourselves of that absolute classic -

Shalamar will be performing the album in it’s entirety – ‘Friends 40th Anniversary Tour plus guests’ on Wednesday 22nd November 2023 from 7.30pm at the Blackburn King George’s Hall.

There is also a 40th anniversary of the man who inspired the late Michael Jackson to moonwalk – Jeffrey Daniel.
