The Foxton Centre Art Group Exhibition

Being creative can do wonders to our mental health and when we connect with other people whilst learning new skills, the positive benefits are long lasting and stay with us for the remainder of the day.

Since January 2023 The Harris in Preston, Lancashire has worked collaboratively with The Foxton Centre to deliver an art project for adults every Friday afternoon. It has been designed to help people make art in a relaxing environment in order to improve their overall wellbeing.

The Foxton Centre is a Preston based charity with a longstanding commitment to working within the local community, supporting both adults and young people. Through this collaboration, they aim to inspire, uplift, and showcase the transformative power of art.

Now their hard work is being exhibited to the interested public which highlights the excellent artwork they have created over the past eight months. Individual small canvases will come together to form large-scale artwork. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to admire solo artworks created by the talented artists from the Foxton Centre Art Group.

The Foxton Centre is located at Knowsley Street, Avenham Lane, Preston. The exhibition will be open to the public from Thursday 31st August and open for viewing on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays 1pm – 3pm.
