Simply Dylan

A simple chord structure yet lyrical depth tackling themes such as civil rights and antiwar movements. In his youth Robert Allen Zimmerman (or Bob Dylan to you and I) was in a league of his own.

Just over 60 years ago he performed an acoustic set featuring the now iconic song ‘Blowin’ in the Wind’. In 1963 Dylan may not have known he would still be in the music business some 6 decades later but this young Dylan performance shows maturity and a unique ability to connect deeply with his lyrics -

At 82 Dylan is still writing, recording and performing but not all of us are fortunate to see the legendary singer songwriter.

John O’Connell’s Simply Dylan Band brings to life the classics from the Dylan back catalogue in an incredible acoustic live set.

His band will be playing all the Dylan numbers at the West Kirby Arts Centre – Liverpool August 18th – 19th 2023.
