Burnley Words Festival 2023

As a child did you often sit around the teatime meal asking your parents what certain words were when they mentioned a word you weren’t familiar with?

Now you’re an adult and find yourself saying the words your parents taught you in long conversations with friends and family.

But for some of us you may wish to take it further. From theatrical interpretations to musical interludes, your inquisitive child is a lover of words.

There is an event taking place now until Sunday 2nd July – Burnley Words Festival 2023.

Expect family outdoor theatre, story telling and buskers. You can also visit the market and find a huge book market from local and northern independent publishers and an author’s stage where writers are sharing readings and advice.

You may have a question about the festival. Put it to The Hub team found on Market Square – Charter Walk – The Hub will open Tuesday – Friday and Sundays 12pm – 4pm and Saturdays – 10am – 5pm.
