Total Jam

Location: The Continental pub - South Meadow Lane - Preston

In June 1997 mod/punk band The Jam released a 5 CD box set collection of all their tracks including 22 previously unreleased recordings and 6 B-sides on CD for the first time. It also compiled an 88- page colour booklet with liner notes, gig list, discography memorabilia and rare photos.

Direction Reaction Creation was a testament to the band’s career. One of their biggest singles featured on the collection was the 1982 song  "A Town Called Malice”.

It has featured on many movie soundtracks and upon its release it remained at number one on the UK Top 40 for three weeks.

Over 40 years later and it still sounds as fresh and new sounding compared to many of it’s contemporaries at the time of it’s release. Let’s remind ourselves of that absolute classic -

The Continental pub on South Meadow Lane – Preston may not have The Jam but they have the next best thing – Total Jam – a fantastic live tribute act who pay homage to their favourite group.

They’ll be playing all the classics and a few surprises on Saturday August 19th 2023 from 8pm till 11pm.

Please note - access to The Continental is difficult with roadworks around the pub.
