Northern Heart Presents UP NORTH #1

Creativity has been somewhat neglected recently with everything going on politically and medically. The arts have been shelved but there’s a cluster of individuals who are inspired by the world around them to create an original piece of art.

They may have produced a short film but lack the appropriate guidance to get it off the ground. This could be financially or equipment loan.

On Thursday 1st June 2023 Northern Heart Presents UP NORTH #1. It will take place at Leigh Film Factory, Spinners Mill, Leigh from 7pm – 9pm.

Northern Heart films has set up the Doc Fund. The only documentary specific film fund in the North West dedicated to providing new makers the kickstart they need by providing a cash grant, mentorship and kit hire.

At this special premiere event all three short documentaries commissioned during this first round of funding will be screened, along with details of the next round of funding.

There will also be networking opportunities after the screening in the bar area.

All are welcome.

The scheme has been supported by Creative Lancashire, Wigan Council, Leigh Film Factory and Sticks & Glass. Without their support the Doc Fund simply wouldn't have been possible.
