Arctic Numpties

Sheffield’s finest Arctic Monkeys have been releasing music for the past twenty years or so. Their original sound is deeply rooted in indie punk rock yet in recent years that has somehow evolved into a smooth jazz vibe currently found on 2022 album ‘The Car’ -their seventh record.

All accomplished musicians with their first incarnation shaped up to be a potential soundtrack to a Danny Boyle film. However, that has drifted into more Woody Allen sophisticated approach.

Whichever way their music is interpreted it is far from amateur. Yet, a Yorkshire based tribute act has coined their band a slight understatement of their heroes.

The unfortunate sounding Arctic Numpties will be performing a series of songs from the bands archive material on Saturday 11th November 2023 at The Grand venue in Clitheroe. Doors open – 7pm.
