The Three Musketeers

We’ve just witnessed a coronation of the King and Queen in the south of England. Some may have embraced it others perhaps felt offended.

Historically, this is the first of it’s kind for many decades following the death of the Queen last September. It followed an overwhelming mix of pomp and ceremony only fit for a King and a concert that was received with a mixed response.

On a cinematic scale the closest thing we’re going to get is the new version of The Three Musketeers directed by Martin Bourboulon. Film fans will be familiar with the plot of the movie yet it may resonate more this time with Parisian watchers as the whole film is in French with English subtitles.

The coronation may have lacked the drama and action found in this film but it certainly had a cast of many royals who observed the proceedings as we all watch to see how the King performs in the years ahead.
