The Hobbit Outdoor Show

~It’s done amazingly well at the box office and now The Hobbit is reaching a new theatrical audience at the picturesque parkland of Lancaster’s Williamson Park.

Since 1987 the Dukes Theatre has been producing thespian talent to the Lancastrian people and has gathered more than 500,000 spectators.

Now in 2016, The Hobbit is staging it’s epic journey from July 5th to August 13th 2016.

The woodlands and parkland pathways are a great setting for Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf and the remainder of the imaginative cast. Artistic director Joe Sumsion believes it’s a very apt location,

“ I feel like the park chose The Hobbit. It’s the natural environment for it.”
