80s Live

We all remember the 1980’s. Some of us may be too young remember. But one boyband recently captured the essence of that period in music when they released the March 3rd 2022 release ‘Bring Back the Time”.

New Kids on the Block effectively parodied a series of 1980’s music videos these included –

• Journey's "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)"
• Devo's "Whip It"
• A Flock of Seagulls' "I Ran (So Far Away)"
• Talking Heads' "Once in a Lifetime"
• Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It"
• Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love"
• Billy Idol's "Flesh for Fantasy"
• Madonna's "Vogue"
• Duran Duran's "Rio"
• Toni Basil's "Mickey"
• Art of Noise featuring Max Headroom's "Paranoimia"
• Michael Jackson's "Beat It".

The song also featured vocal contributions from other 1980’s stars such as Salt – N- Pepa, Rick Astley and En Vogue. Let’s remind ourselves of that era with the following music video -

On Saturday 10th June 2023 you can bring back the time with ‘80s Live’ at the Blackburn King Georges Hall for a 7.30pm start.

The live band Electric Dreams will be performing a rendition of classic 80’s hits from artists including –

• Wham!
• The Weather Girls
• Culture Club
• Madonna
• Duran Duran
• Soft Cell
• The Human League
• A-Ha
• Tears for Fears
