Dear Colleague,
We are pleased to announce the date of our first ever ‘Living with Diabetes Day ‘ at the University of Central Lancashire on the 31st May 2014.
This is the first educational day for people with diabetes to be held at the University of Lancashire and one we hope will grow in popularity and size each year.
It is our aim to create a professional network among regional diabetes care givers, charities, support groups, students and the university, and bring these groups together with patients to create an engagement day, where people living with diabetes can learn skills and knowledge to better manage their condition and improve their lifestyle.
Working alongside each other, national diabetes charity Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation www.drwf.org.uk and the University of Central Lancashire encourage local diabetes specialist healthcare professionals to support the day and put the north west on the map with a truly unique event that will benefit everyone involved in the provision of care and those receiving it.
