~For new and emerging musicians they need a viable platform to break into the industry. As a competitive market they will need to create something unique and original in terms of  the scope of sound they aim to deliver.

Thanks to the  engaging and innovative music courses at UCLAN, young people with a strong interest in music performance have highly benefited from these tutorials. It has allowed them to explore their musical potential and gain greater insight into the world of live music.

This weekend a special event is taking place which brings together students from years 1,2 and 3 in an exciting three day showcase of the things they have learnt over the course of a year to the interested public.

Future Sound kicks off this Friday 10th till Sunday 12th May. It will take place in UCLAN’S Media Factory, Preston Campus.

Here is a brief statement about this year Future Sound :-

The launch of the Future Sound Festival 2019 will start with musical installations from our very own music students all of which will have a hidden meaning, process of thought and inspiration. We invite you to open your minds and explore music within new ways. No two rooms you enter will be the same and all rooms will leave you questioning, wondering and wanting more. Each day of Future Sound will be different with a variety of artists and approaches to music and sound. If you like the first day, we can promise you'll love the last.

The three days of eclectic live music will also feature performances ranging from Year 1 undergraduate to Masters students.

Please note :- the event is completely free to attend and no booking is required, just come with an open mind and with a curious interest in the arts and live  music.
