Trainer in Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness and Safeguarding. Teacher, Youth Worker and Social Pedagogist.

Independent Trainer for C.A.T - Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness Training. Workshops and Training focused on understanding CSE, early intervention and prevention and the key responsibilities of organisations and adults.

I have worked for Lancashire County Council's "Young People's Service" for twenty-six years as an Advanced Practitioner during which time I was involved with multitudes of children, young people and families with diverse needs and issues. As a result of the significant increased cases of CSE with children, young people and adults I engaged in research, perused further training with Lancashire County Council, Safe and Sound - Just Whistle and PACE (Parents Against Child Exploitation). I have knowledge and understanding of the significance of Child Sexual Exploitation as part of children and young people’s Safeguarding, well-being and vulnerability.  I am a qualified Teacher, Youth worker and Trainer with extensive experience of working with children and young people. I have commitment and passion to raise the issues of CSE and CSA and work towards a safer world for children and young people.

C.A.T.

C.A.T. aims to address the importance and need for adult’s knowledge and awareness of the vulnerabilities of children and young people by offering education, understanding of prevention and identifying clear action related to Child Sexual Exploitation and Safeguarding. The Training workshops are interactive with opportunities to learn about Models of CSE, early intervention, new legislation, social media, effective reporting and Safeguarding.
