~Somewhere within all of us is a Judy Garland voice. An angelic sound that stops traffic and pauses life in motion. We all long to harbour our vocal chords to make them sweet and beautiful to the audible ear. Thankfully there is a group that can help each and everyone of us cultivate this gift.

‘Sound Out’ is a weekly workshop led by an experienced vocal coach and music director. It encourages the voice to take part in and explore new techniques and approaches to vocal performance enhancing the quality of your voice and increasing stamina.

The next session takes place Tuesday 3rd December at UCLAN’S  Media Factory Room ME011 between the hour of 5.30pm - 6.30pm. The one hour workshop will teach you how to create improvisation and develop interplay in group sessions.

Here’s some positive feedback from those that have participated in it:-

  • “It’s a way of finding and exploring vocal sound making capabilities with expert guidance”- Tim
  • “It tests and extends your vocal capabilities through exercises that explore and stretch your range of vocalisations both as an individual and in the course of improvisations with others” - Andy
  • “It feels like I’ve had an extreme vocal workout and I enjoyed every minute” - Nicky

The workshop fee is relied on donations and is asking £3 per session. SOUND OUT is supported by the UCLAN Something for Everyone project.

This excellent session provides and maintains well-being, a vocal platform for singers, speakers, actors and the general public to build confidence, self-esteem and empowerment:-

  • Tuesday  3rd  December, 17:30 – 18:30
  • University of Central Lancashire, ME011, Media Factory, Preston Campus
