~No-one is born with an intellect. It takes pre-school learning to educate a child  the basics of life. As it grows older it will ask soul searching questions such as ‘why is the sky blue?’ and ‘why is the grass green?

When it reaches adolescence something unique happens to their brain. It  changes and develops giving them  an adult perspective of the world him or her.

So by the time a young person enters University it is presented with a series of challenges which it must deal with. For example, will a young person have the resilience to keep going to lectures despite partying the night before and will they continually adapt to new environments as each school year rolls around?

If the answers to these questions are a resounding yes then your son or daughter may have a degree of emotional intelligence. But are they an effective leader with this unique gift?

On Wednesday 18th March UCLAN is hosting a 1 -day professional training workshop exploring the fascinating topic of Emotional Intelligence (EI) and how it can help you to be a more effective leader.

‘Leading with Emotional Intelligence’ will take place at The Harris Building, Room HB158 between the hours of 9am - 4.30pm. Throughout the day you will be introduced to the theory and core principles of EI and have the opportunity to explore how these can be applied for yourself and your working environment.
