~The Caribbean Carnival, a long established event for the people of Preston. Ever wondered though what goes on behind the scenes? How much creativity is utilised to get all those unique, bright and daring costumes to the inner suburbs of Preston city centre?

On Saturday 28th April from 1.30p -5pm you can get involved in the ‘Caribbean Carnival Prop Making Workshop’. You can learn to make the props or, you may wish to just spectate on the innovative
 designs.

This is part of UCLAN’s In the City programme and the University is sponsoring the Carnival which is why this prop making workshop has been notified.

The fun takes place at the In the City shop in St. Georges Shopping Centre. For more information, see Preston Caribbean Carnival on Facebook, or come along to the session where they’ll  be happy to answer any questions you might have.
